Let's start into this new week with my new orange fruit cake recipe. Hopefully it will make your Mondays easier to live through.

ORANGE FRUIT CAKE

✔️INGREDIENTS:

✔️ (200 ml cup & 100 ml tea glass

for measurement purposes)

✔️ The ingredients must all be at room temperature!

🍀1 cup of room temperature softened butter

🍀1 cup of sugar

🍀1 package of baking powder

🍀3 eggs

🍀2,5 cups of flour

🍀2 orange rinds

🍀1 tea glass of orange juice

🍀1 tea glass of cream


✔️ FOR THE BASE:

🍀2 -3 oranges (thinly sliced)

🍀2 tablespoons of granulated sugar


FOR ICING/TOPPING:

🍀1.5 tea glasses of orange juice

🍀1 tea spoon of corn starch

🍀1 teaspoon of sugar


Let's lay greaseproof paper on the base of our clamp mold. Then, grease all sides of the mold with butter some semolina flour mixture. (trust me, it will become so crispy on the outside!). Don't forget to shake off the excess. Let's sprinkle 1 tablespoon of sugar over it. Finely align the oranges that we peeled and sliced ​​thinly on it now. In the meantime, let's set our oven to 175 C *.


Let's put the butter and sugar in our mixing bowl and mix them until they look like cream. Then, add the eggs to the mixture in 1 minute intervals and continue whisking. Let's sift flour and baking soda and add it to the mixture. Take care not to whisk it too greatly and finally add the orange juice and cream, whisk it for a short time, then pour the mixture into the cake mold and put it in the oven to smoothen up the top and bake. Make sure to do the toothpick check after about 40-45 minutes. If it looks done, set it aside to cool it down. Let's turn our chilled cake over.


✔️ Let's add orange juice, sugar and starch to a small sauce pan and take it to the stove. Make sure to mix it constantly until it boils. Pour the sauce that is at room temperature over the oranges. This orange sauce will make the oranges on top (and the cake of course) shine and it will add a nice taste to it.

Serve by slicing our chilled cake.
