TATLI KADAYIF

Today, I wanted to make a portion-sized tel kadayıf dessert. Basically, it's shredded wheat in syrup and it's considered a Turkish classic. In my opinion, the portioned desserts we make in the mold are very stylish. That's why I strongly recommend you to try this recipe.





INGREDIENTS

• 750 gr. of shredded phyllo dough

• 250 gr of butter

• 300 gr of crushed walnuts or peanuts

FOR SHARBET

• 6 cups of sugar

• 5 cups of water

• ½ cup of lemon juice

PREPARATION

Separate the shredded phyllo dough from each other, melt the butter and pour it over. Make sure to rub it well with the butter in order to lubricate all the strings.

Divide the greased Kadayıf into two. Place the first half in the bowl and press on it firmly. For example, you can use the back of a small cup or a bottle.

Afterwards sprinkle the crushed walnuts in between (I used walnuts because there are no peanuts left in the house, but it is also tasty with pistachios.)

Place the other half on the sprinkled walnuts. Press firmly again with the help of a cup or bottle. Do this until you are sure it is perfectly straight, it takes quite a bit of effort :) ..

Place it on the tray and put it in the oven. Wait until it looks golden brown like a pomegranate.

The sharbet must be cold.

After removing the kadayıf from the oven, wait for another 4-5 minutes and then pour the sharbet over it.
